Changes in Public Attitude toward Breastfeeding in the United States 1999-2003
Concerning results about public perceptions towards breastfeeding were recently published in The Journal of the American Dietetic Association. Authors report an increase in United States respondents who believe "Infant formula is as good as breastmilk" from 14.3% in 1999 to 25.7% in 2003. This increase is troubling for a number of reasons.
